Markets Update:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

U.S. equity futures were little changed late Tuesday as oil prices and Treasury yields eased amid hopes for a potential de-escalation in the war between the U.S. and Iran.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

S&P 500 futures rose 0.02%, while Nasdaq-100 futures gained 0.1%. Dow Jones Industrial Average futures slipped 14 points, or 0.03%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During Tuesday\u2019s regular session, the Dow fell 0.4%, while the Nasdaq Composite advanced 0.5% for its fourth consecutive positive session. The tech-heavy index reached a new intraday record and closed at an all-time high. The S&P 500 edged lower but remained about 0.7% below its record.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Asia-Pacific trading, South Korea\u2019s Kospi gained 0.66% and the Kosdaq rose 0.54%. Australia\u2019s S&P\/ASX 200 was flat, while Hong Kong\u2019s Hang Seng Index declined 0.68%. Mainland China\u2019s CSI 300 slipped 0.13%. Japan\u2019s markets were closed for a holiday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Brett Ewing, chief market strategist at First Franklin Financial Services, said he expects the S&P 500 to reach 8,200 by year-end, raising his previous 8,000 target.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

President Donald Trump said U.S. and Iranian officials held a three-hour meeting at the United Nations, describing it as \u201cvery good.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Oil prices fell roughly 1%, while Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said the U.S. is considering restricting diesel exports amid elevated fuel prices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Investors will also monitor earnings from General Mills, Paychex and H.B. Fuller on Wednesday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
